Why not learn the exotic art of Egyptian Bellydance?

With its origins in the Middle East, Bellydance also known as ‘Raqs Sharqi’ and ‘Danse Orientale,’ is an ancient and beautiful art form which celebrates the female physique and is helping to empower women across the globe.

The mesmerising movements and muscle isolations unique to bellydance, not to mention the elaborate costumes, are now captivating audiences throughout the Western world.

Bellydance has numerous health benefits. It provides an enjoyable cardio-vascular workout and helps to increase coordination, flexibility and strength.  In addition, the focus on training the core muscles to work independently helps to tone the upper and lower body.

As well as the physical benefits, bellydance improves self-esteem and builds confidence, embracing all ages, shapes and sizes. It can help to combat negative body-image and challenges the ‘quest for size zero’ so prevalent in today’s celebrity-obsessed culture.
